Please find below a copy of our terms and conditions. Upon receiving your deposit, a copy of these will be posted out to you along with your booking form and they should be carefully read, signed and returned to us. A copy should be kept for your records.

 

 

 

All drivers must be aged between 25 and 69 years and must have held a valid UK or EU driving license for more than 2 years. As at the date of delivery, you will require to produce a valid driver’s license and a valid credit card. Failure to produce such a license or credit card will result in cancellation of the rental without payment of a refund.

 

The vehicles have fully comprehensive insurance, details of which can be seen if requested. There is an excess on the policy of £500. If any damage is caused to the vehicle whilst in your possession this excess is payable by yourselves and will be deducted from your credit card. The vehicles are fully covered by AA Breakdown and Roadside Recovery.

 

On arrival, a swipe of your credit card will be taken for the cost of £500. This will not be deducted from your credit card unless you fail to return the vehicle at the agreed time; you damage the vehicle or any of the vehicle contents or fittings, you loose or break any equipment or contents. 

 

The vehicles are to be used in a sensible manner. They are to be driven responsibly and legally. They are not to be driven in a reckless manner. If they are returned to us and we believe that damage has been caused due to neglect then an agreed fee will be taken from your Security Deposit. 

 

We will not be held responsible for any individual who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs which then results in damage being caused to third parties or to the vehicle, or any individual driving off road. The customer will fully indemnify Happy Highland Campers against this in respect of all claims. We also hold the right to cancel your rental if we believe that you are either under the influence of alcohol or drugs. You will not be refunded any payment.

 

 

Whilst hiring the vehicle you are liable for any fines incurred for traffic violations, penalties or parking tickets. 

 

If the vehicle or any contents of the vehicle are stolen whilst in your possession, it is your responsibility to inform us and the police as soon as possible. You will co-operate with the police and ourselves and not hinder the investigation in any way.

 

A spare set of keys will be held by us at all times. If you loose a set of keys it is your responsibility to pay for a new set to be cut and to collect the keys in person from our premises. 

 

The vehicle will be kept in an excellent condition and should be returned to us in a similar state. If we believe that the vehicle is not in a suitable state then your security deposit will be used to cover any extra cleaning costs. The vehicle will be hired out to you with a full tank of petrol and should be returned to us with a full tank. Failure to do this will result in an amount being deducted from your deposit. 

 

Complaints should be made in writing and set to Happy Highland Campers, Teachatt Farm, Evanton, IV16 9UU. No refunds will be given in cash or in person.
